| YAMAHA SJ-500EX This is good condition Yamaha original SJ (like telecaster custom). This is actually good guitar. Yamah made many good guitars but the evaluation on market is not really good as SG series. Early days SJ havea pickguard. But this guitar hasn't got it originally. Therefore, this should be 1983 model (Yamaha said SJ series are discontinued in 1983). The neck, frets and electric circuits are all fine. The knobs are not original. Yamaha offered black knobs. The sound is closed to Telecaster, but the front PU is Humbucking, so more warm tone. Personally, I want to put the ON-OGG switch type potentionmeter to slect the single and humbucking for Neck PU. It is good for playing on stage or studio. Well, if you are looking for Yamaha Tele style, this is good purchase guitar. |
