El Maya Late 70's made Stratocaster SCO-360N Antique series
El Maya is distributed by Rokkoman Co., Ltd. They use the El Maya brand
for mostly domestic market, also Maya for
overseas market. We could see some of El Maya in overseas market. But these
are through neck or set in neck type
guitars. El Maya had at least 3 classifications for Stratocaster replica.
They have Junir, Artist and Antique.
I'm not sure the detailed why they use 3 series name.
However, I have 3 kinds series here. Probably, Junior is cost effecticve
model. Artist is middle range.
Well, Antique is top model of El Maya line.
I could specify it from the body material, parts in use and etc..
In addtion, I recently heard that EL Maya Electric guitar were made by
Chushin Gakki.
Therefore, these guitars are brother guitar of Argus, Grover Jackson and
etc...
This guitar is not really good condition. The finger board paint was peel
off on purpose.
It deosn't effect for playing, but if you care the ooks, I don't recommend you.
The body is Sen (Japanese Ash) 2P. Well, almost like 1P body. Only body
side a tine piece are bonded.
The weight is 3.53. The neck is straight and frets are proper (a bit worn)
Nut width is 42.8mm
The bridge screw are rusted so much. So, I replaced them all in stainless
material which is our original products.
The tone, it is pretty good. Antique series are different from Junior or
Artist model.
