ESP ESPARTO Stratocaster model

ESP was established in 1975 as a guitar repair and builder for targeting the professional
musicians by H. Shiino. Early time ESP made several good quality guitars.
Maybe you knew that the original ESP members were still making the good guitars in Japan.

Now, ESP become the worldwide company now. I think the owner of ESP have a very good
marketing and management sense, yes, as commercial base company.

This is early date ESP start model. The name is "ESPARTO". I don't know why they named it for Strat.
Maybe, Mr. Shiino did...
But they named ES-335 replica as Torroco, Telecaster as TELESPO and PB as ESPIONAGE...
This guitar should be very early time Esparto Start, maybe made in late 70's.

The neck is straight. frets are a bit worn, but still O.K. for playing.
The bridge is (not tremolo type) hard tail.

Electric circuits are fine. Maybe previous owner made some modification on wiring.
I feel Middle PU is set as reverse phase.
The neck has additional screw holes with wide pitch. Now, it was repaired and join.
This body is narrow pitch holes. So, I guess previous user put this neck for other guitars and
back to this body again. Because the body was maybe ESP made. It is not 80's body.
Narrow pitch body is sort of proof that the guitar was made in early 70's.

The body is probably Japanese Ash (SEN) 1P. I checked body detailed. It seems to be 1P.
Well, if it is 2P, I'm sorry. But it looks like. You could also see the flame pattern on the body.
The weight is only 3.25 Kg. The neck feel is good like C grip with 42mm

The guitar will be shipped with the used gigbag.
Hard to find out ESPARTO. Enjoy JV guitar!
