| ELK MB-440 Les Paul model Guitar ELK is very old Amplifier and guitar manufacturer here. I thin they started in 60's. So, they made more antique designed guitar before 70's. ELK products was used by many professional musicians here. I remember their Amp is just like Fender type, It was so expensive for boys. The guitars were pretty expensive too. In 70's they started to produce the several replica guitars such as SG, Fender Tele, ST, PB, JP and etc... This LP is made in 1972 as a first good replica of LP. I have checked this guitar compare with other LP replica. Well, this guitar has already set-neck construction. The PU is also real humbucking type. The tuner is maybe replaced. The body arched top is not really like Gibson. This guitar's top is a bit flat. But it is really beatiful wood. The sound is almost like LP model. Felt a bit tight tone. The condition of this guitar is good. Well, it should be 36 years old guitar. The neck, frets and electric circuits are proper condition. Logo mark was sticker type. Maybe it was lost. The previous user put the replica Metal logo mark on. I have been collecting many 70's made JV guitar. If you are really fan for Founder or JV rare brand guitar and would like to keep the collection (not for re-sell), just ask me, I would consider to sell. Good era's great guitar ! |
