| ELK Les Paul STD model (maybe Matsumoku made early 70's) Very old. more than 35 years old ELK brand Les Paul. I have a few ELK guitars. I love it because these are early 70's guitars. It is getting hard to find out the good condition one. This is not original guitar. I have rebuilt using many new parts on. Well, only body is original. I have changed parts as follows: 1) Tuner Grover 1:18 New gold 2) Pick UP Stewart Mac Golden Age 3) Mount Ring & strap Pin 4) All circuit use all brand new Potetiometers are Japanese with Sprugue, Switchcraft jack with Belden wires/ 5) Selector Switch Switchcraft with gold washer 6) Gotoh Bridge and Tailpiece 7) Cavity panel (new) 8) New Knobs The brand logo and crown mark were real inlaying. The original ELK have the metal plate type. Most of case, the user lost it. I have another ELK. We traced the original logo made real white Pearl inlaying. The neck is straight/ The truss rod is still working. Frets are fine to use. Good tone with silver coated hook up wires. Actually, all parts are new. So it almost like New guitar. However, body is very old. It has the scratches and dents on body back. Old tuners hole were repaired (not colored yet). Anyway, I have heard this guitar is Matsumoku made. The set neck joint is very similar with old day Aria Pro. I would say Aria Pro Les Paul Neck is similar. It is deep joint type and set with screws. Pretty good tone. Currently, I set the 009-046 string. Maybe 010-046 would be fine. Pretty warm tone. could use the Jazz music? I like it. Well, try JV legend guitar!
