Tokai Precision Bass PB-48 <Hard Puncher> Modified
It is fair condition 1980 made Tokai precision Bass Replica
The previous owner modified this bass. Added the Bridge PU, made this bass
like PJ.
Also, added the volume control for neck PU like Jazz bass circuit.
When I checked the bass, I found out that the cavity was not really good finished.
So, I route the cavity by micro grinder. The pcik gurad was also very poor
looking. So, I put the
brand new tortise pick guard. Of course, I have changed all Potentiometers.
The knobs are
changed from my stock.
The bridge saddle screws are changed to stainless type now.
The neck is fine, the truss rod is still workable. The nut width is 41.75
mm.
The frets are a bit worn but no need to leveling, I feel.
The body has a bit dents and scratches as 30 years old bass.
The material should be Sen (Japanese Ash) 3p with other Tokai Hard Puncher
bass.
The sound, it is PJ tone. To mix Neck and bridge PU, you could feel more
funlky tone.
