YAMAHA SB-500S MIJ Original Designed Bass
This model made by Yamaha between 1976-79.
I have other original SB-500 as my collection.
SB-500S is Nato solid body type. High range SB-800S has Maple + Nato + Maple as sandwich body.
I felt this bass has a soft tone compare with SB-800S.
The pick ups are same with SB-800S.
So, the body material made the price difference.
There are not many scratches and dents.But these are not really serious
bad looks.
The frets were a bit worn, but still O.K. and the neck is fine with 43.45mm nut width.
Truss Rod is still workable. I felt it is a bit tight when I adjust it
(Yes, Grease up now).
Now, it is good condition neck, anyway. The grip is a bit thick U? I felt very good bottom tone.
Very heavy body, 4.68Kg. Well, better than other Yamaha bass.
It can be used for heavy bottom Rock !!!
This bass is over 30 years old bass. The body is dried very much.
We are going to ship this bass with used Gig bag.
