TEISCO Spectrum Bass 1960's made
This is original Teisco Spectrum bass.
The previous user replaced the pick guard and switches. Well, it is very
difficult to find out the original
spectrum both guitars and basses.
I got this bass for checking purpose.. I would like to make a Teisco replica
one day.
Kawai made re-issue model in 1990-1996 time. The re-issue is slight;y different
from original I heard.
Over 50 years ago, Teisco made this unique designed bass.
I love it pretty much. The sound is not really good.
This bass has many damages. However, these are not fatal damage. The body
edge was damaged and
some of binding are taken off. The pick guard is probably changed and 2
switches too. I'm not sure about the
body material.
The recent replica specification is Mahogany and Maple neck...But I'm not
sure this original bass.
I do not have an intention to sell this bass. Just have a look for your
reference.
