GRECO TV-500 Mid 70's made
Greco (Kanda Shokai) made many Gibson replica. Some of them are not on their official catalog.
This replica should be made in 1973-75 from the logo mark and Star marked tuner.
It is ultra light weight, only 3.03Kg. I have been checking this guitar with Old Greco Catalog and
other books. So far, I could not find the exactly same model. This guitar should be one off or
guitar shop custom order?
The condition is fair like 35 years old. There are many dents and scratches.
However,
these are not serious. No wood cracking anyway. It looks vintage guitar.
The sound, it is very dry with heavy bottom.
The body is probably Maho 3-4P (Pancake body). The neck should be Maple 3P...
The neck is straight. The truss rod is working. The grip of neck is not really fat like Gibson.
I would say thin compare with Gibson or Orville. The frets were levelled by previous owner.
It still O.K. for playing but you need to change it after several years.
The frets edges wood are bit shrinking because of age.
Well, this should be very rare item even in Japan.
