Specifications (MFG catalog & Actual Check)

GRECO SS-600P2

I actually forget to describe this guitar for a long time. I thought I did, but I have an order for this guitar. The buyer just pointed
out the product year mentioned 1978... Well, I copied and pasted from other pages, and completely forget this page.
Anyway, this guitar have been keeping at our show room. I started to check the guitar detailed last week end.

Probably Fujigen made guitar. After checking, I found the high fret leveling is not good. So, I leveled the frets and finished.
After that I found the paint crack on neck back(Nut/1 fret area).

In 1990 time, most of Japanese guitar manufacturers are still making the guitar in Japan.
They didn't shift the production for Korea or China yet. They did feasibility study of guitar producing at overseas.
Yamaha did it already in Taiwan, maybe in Indonesia. Some started in Korea, I thought.

1990 Greco Catalog is showing this guitar as SS-600-P2. Some documents showing this model as SS-540-P2.
I'm not sure what is different between. Probably, Greco revised the price only.

The 70' made Greco SG guitars are not really like Gibson Original. Around the end of 70's, Greco started the Super Real series
against Tokai guitars. Well, from this time, most of Japanese manufacturers started to make more accurate construction guitars
with Fender or Gibson. Of course, they have a good market that time.

So, this SG was built during these days here. A bit later, many manufacturers started to shift the production outside of
Japan. I like these Japanese made guitars. Nowadays, many guitars were built in China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Korean made are currently too expensive for them. Well, Even Gibson is same. Their low price model is made in Mexico too.
